The Bobbin or The Tim Bobbin – what’s in a name?
The pub has been here for over a hundred years and was called The Tim Bobbin until 2010 when Tim went on sabbatical.

Well, he’s now back above the door! Tim Bobbin – poet, painter, satirist and the “patron saint of drinkers” apparently!

I’m sure he would be very proud to be back!

Inside, we’re proud to offer Clapham Old Town a charming neighbourhood pub with a Mediterranean seasonal menu, great tasting beer and a carefully selected international wine list.

We hope to see you soon.

Menu

We run a seasonal Mediterranean-inspired menu with daily specials throughout the week and the Sunday menu includes our hugely popular Roast Rump of Beef with all the trimmings.

  • SQUAREMEAL
The food is definitely worth a try: all freshly cooked, on a daily changing menu. Find a table at the back for full-blown meals of top charcuterie platters, good roasts & lemon pies. For something more casual, the old-fashioned wood-lined bar is where to head; there are classy bar snacks to soak up the real ale. Including the wine list, it’s all ‘remarkably good value’ – & ‘rather fun’ to boot

  • TIMEOUT
In a quiet residential street not far from Clapham Common, The Bobbin is an appealing neighbourhood gastropub. It has a changing rota of proper ales (perhaps St Austell Tribute or something from Sambrooks), good wines by the glass, a cosy front room, and an airy conservatory at the rear
